孔敬大学成立于1941年，早年的名称为泰国东北大学，于1965年由当时的泰国国王更名为孔敬大学。学校誉满海外，是亚洲地区的一流大学，不仅在在研究方面遥遥领先，而且在教学领域也硕果累累的。
孔敬大学拥有学生4500名，拥有全职教职人员500名，师生比例为1：10，小班教学充分保证了教学质量，也使每一位学生都能得到教师的特别辅导。教师均毕业于国内外知名学校，其中84％拥有博士学位。孔敬大学是泰国最好的大学之一。
